Central Section
central section (1)
Central section: The shoring for the third floor is built upon the concrete deck of the second floor. 4" by 4" columns extend from the concrete floor to horizontal beams (going left-to-right in the picture). A second row of horizontal beams (shown to the upper-right of the decking), crossing the first row, provide a base for plywood decking (right).
central section (2)
Central section: The second-floor region between the central and eastern section includes rebar and electrical conduit on the east (almost ready for concrete), while beams are being installed for the third floor decking (right).
central section (3)
Central section: A closer view of the central section, showing plywood decking supported by layers of horizontal beams.
Eastern Section
south-eastern section (1)
South Eastern Section: The second floor decking contains full shoring, rebar, and electrical conduit, in anticipation of the concrete pour scheduled tomorrow.
south-eastern section (2)
South Eastern Section: A computer-equipped classroom (top) requires numerous electrical floor boxes and connecting conduit.
The library (bottom) will contain book stacks, supported by tracks in the floor. The wooden inserts at the bottom of picture will yield groves in the floor for these tracks.
